Dr. Varaprasad Gourineni is an internationally acclaimed Orthopedic surgeon. He is specialized in pediatric orthopedic problems, spine deformities, hip joint preservation, sports medicine and trauma.
He is well known for his work with hip preservation with open techniques like safe surgical dislocation, femoral neck osteotomy, head reduction and periacetabular pelvic osteotomy and hip arthroscopy (keyhole surgery).
Clinical areas of focus include: Hip Preservation: hip arthroscopy, osteotomy of pelvis, femoral head and neck; Sports Medicine: Pediatric and adult ACL reconstruction, shoulder arthroscopy, nonsurgical treatment of clubfoot, flatfoot, limb length deformities, limb length discrepancies, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, pelvic and acetabular trauma.
