CASHLESS INSURANCE

What is Cashless Hospitalization?

What is Cashless Hospitalization?

Cashless hospitalization is a facility offered by most health insurance policies that allows eligible patients to receive medical treatment without making direct payment to the hospital for covered expenses. Instead, your health insurance company or Third Party Administrator (TPA) settles the approved hospitalization charges directly with Amara Hospital, subject to your policy's terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions. This process reduces financial stress during hospitalization and enables patients and families to concentrate on treatment and recovery while our Insurance Desk manages the necessary documentation and coordination.

Please note: There is no “free treatment” — cashless simply means your insurer bears the cost of treatment (fully or partially) on your behalf, subject to policy terms and conditions.

Network Hospital vs Non-Network Hospital

Choosing a network hospital offers significant advantages during hospitalization.

Network Hospital

Amara Hospital is a network hospital for multiple insurance providers and TPAs. Eligible patients can avail cashless hospitalization, subject to insurance policy terms, insurer approval, and applicable coverage.

Non-Network Hospital

At a non-network hospital, patients generally pay the medical expenses themselves and later submit documents to their insurer for reimbursement. This process may involve additional paperwork and waiting time. By choosing Amara Hospital, patients benefit from streamlined claim processing, expert insurance assistance, and a more convenient healthcare experience.

A Third Party Administrator (TPA ) is an organization authorized by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to administer health insurance services on behalf of insurance companies. TPAs facilitate policy verification, pre-authorization, claim processing, and cashless settlement between the insurer and the hospital.
