Well Baby Health Checks (1 week to 2 years)

A new baby is a bundle of joy and fun. Yet understanding all of your responsibilities as a new parent can become overwhelming and stressful. Amara is here to support you through this process. Appropriately scheduled Well Baby Checks are important in monitoring your baby’s growth, development, eating and sleeping habits. They also ensure that your baby receives the necessary vaccination in time.

Let us be partners in ensuring your baby’s health.

What will be done during Well Baby Checks?
During each visit, your baby's weight, length, head and mid-arm circumference, developmental milestones and general examination will be performed. Your child's behavior, as well as feeding and sleep patterns will be assessed. Age-appropriate nutritional and physical activity counselling will be provided, and age-appropriate immunization will be administered. Your family will be counselled on danger signs (symptoms and signs that suggest a serious illness) to look for. This includes not feeding well, fits, and not waking up. You will also be told what to do if this happens, and on how urgently to bring them to the hospital.
