COMMON TREATMENTS

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)
Strategically placed electrodes pass current to stimulate nerves for a massaging sensation that relieves acute & chronic pain, post-op pain, labour & delivery pain, headaches, arthritis, chronic pain from tendonitis and bursitis, cancer pain, and wound healing.

Range of Motion Exercises
To aid in movement & joint mobility and facilitate circulation post-surgery or bone injuries, these exercises help prevent muscle atrophy and related postural problems.

Cryotherapy and Heat Therapy
Application of hot or cold packs helps relieve sore and stiff muscles, not only in professional athletes but also those who work long hours at a desk job.

Soft Tissue Mobilisation
A therapeutic massage that relaxes the muscles even as it facilitates blood circulation, lymph flow and reduces pain and swelling around inflamed joints.

Ultrasound Therapy
Therapeutic ultrasonic waves provide deep heating to soft tissues including muscles,
tendons, joints, and ligaments, offering pain relief to patients suffering from arthritis, muscle strain and tendonitis.

Interferential Therapy (IFT)
By stimulating the affected tissue to block pain and reduce swelling & inflammation, it
relieves pain associated with back, neck, shoulder and knee, fibromyalgia, joint injuries,
overuse injuries & surgical procedures, edema, inflammation, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,
Tennis Elbow, sports injuries.

Shortwave Diathermy (SWD)
High-frequency electric current is used to generate heat within body tissues, to help in treatment of arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, muscle spasms, myositis, neuralgia, sprains & strains, tenosynovitis, tendonitis, bursitis.

GETTING YOU BACK INTO ACTION

RELIEVING YOU OF PAIN

Objective assessment of how employees work in their workplace. This will help identify ergonomic risks such as repetitive tasks that can cause strains, improper work area set-up, and improper use of tools, which can result in development of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. This can be done for employees in both office and manufacturing locations.

Following assessment, we will work with you to come up with possible solutions for appropriate work-area set-up, appropriate use of tools and exercises that may help employees improve their posture.

Manual Therapy will restore mobility to stiff joints and reduce muscle tension. It includes kneading, manipulation of the muscles, massage, joint mobilization and joint manipulation.

Strategically placed electrodes pass current to stimulate nerves endings to provide a massaging sensation that relieves both acute and chronic pain.

A type of TENS, it uses alternating low and medium frequency current to relieve pain and stimulate healing. It may be helpful for people with chronic muscle wasting.

Application of cold or hot packs helps relieve pain. Application of cold packs can reduce edema, redness and irritation in people with musculoskeletal strain and spasm. Heat therapy will relax muscles and improve blood flow. These methods are usually supplemental to other therapies.
